Why attend an online PD course?

Do you have problems attending professional development workshops during the day?

Maybe you’re located outside a metropolitan area and have trouble travelling to city-based PD days?

Perhaps you’d like to get your teeth stuck into a multi-week course that holds you accountable for your learning?

“I can’t thank you enough for your generous sharing of your knowledge. I’ve found this a terrific way to learn. I love working with the notes again after the online session. The structure was absolutely logical, transparent and clear. I really felt all of it worked well.”
Elizabeth BarwellMelbourne Girls Grammar (Sibelius Basics Online Jan 2012)

What Is A “Live” Online Course? How Does it Work?

Courses take place via your computer, from the comfort of your own home. All you need is an internet connection and some headphones. It’s a little like watching a tutorial video, but it’s live and interactive.

There’s no travel involved and you can wear your tracksuit pants and bring along a cup of coffee (or something stronger!).

Because this is a “live” training course (also known as a live webinar), you’ll be able to see my computer screen and hear my voice. Sometimes you’ll see my face too, but probably just at the beginning of the session so I can introduce myself.

You’ll also be able to ask questions during the session.

Although you won’t be doing the exercises along with me, you’ll be able to give your full attention to the workshop while it’s running and ask questions when they arise.

Best of all, each course instalment will be recorded and made available to attendees, so you can watch it back at your own pace, as many times as you like.
