Hi Katie,

Very much appreciated your workshops over the weekend. I learnt so much. I am not great on the computer but you made it easy to understand. I felt you catered for learners and non-learners at the same time. I'm an infants music teacher and came away with skills to use.  Thankyou....

Katie,

This is a belated thank you for the wonderful session you held with our staff at the end of the year.  Thank you for your organised and thorough approach to Sibelius training.  The instruction was clear and showed us regardless of ability/familiarity with the program, how to get the most from it.

Katie helped our team of music staff with various degrees of proficiency, learn new facets, tips and tricks with Sibelius 5.  Her ability to clearly communicate a diverse wealth of information combined with her flexibility and sense of humour made our in-service an incredibly practical and worthwhile experience.

Peter Wardrobe and Katie Wardrobe have delivered a number of courses on Sibelius, Auralia, Musition and Groovy.  As teachers we are acutely aware of the preparation involved and difficulties encountered in delivering education to a class of various skill levels, and in an unfamiliar environment.  All of the teachers involved in the training (from Brighton and other schools) have commented on the exceptional work both Peter and Katie have done in the preparation and delivery of their courses.  The course materials and booklets are clear, accurate and nicely typeset, and the lessons are logical and sequential.  Their courses are well-paced, full of relevant examples for teaching professionals, and most importantly, decidedly informative.

The highly engaging and entertaining manner in which they deliver their courses makes for an extremely successful session.  The personal skills both of them bring to the presentations are very much appreciated.  Their flexibility, willingness to adapt and their professionalism is second-to-none.

Hi Katie,

Many thanks for your time and expertise with the PD session this morning.  The guys really enjoyed it - we are all busy arranging new stuff or fixing up old files!

Dear Katie,

On behalf of the VOSA committee, I would like to thank you for the session you took at our recent Middle Years Day Workshop.  It was terrific to have the opportunity to work through O Generator and Groovy Music and to see the possibilities of actively involving students in these programs.  Everyone appreciated your careful planning and clear session notes.  I am sure that many of the participants will be exploring your ideas of using music technology in their music classes.

Thanking you once again,

Regards

Since joining Sibelius Australia soon after the Intelliware team was acquired by Sibelius UK, Katie’s contribution to Sibelius in education has been invaluable. Her experience and sensibilities to all that is education, her musicianship and very hi-level Sibelius expertise is unique in our industry. With Peter Wardrobe and James Humberstone, Katie helped build the best education specialist team in the country – bar none.

Katie must be recognised for the huge contribution she has made through her attendances at countless conferences and seminars (remember the travel Katie?), Sibelius launches, demonstrations and her work on producing training and professional development resources and the associated ‘training of the trainers’. Katie’s role in planning and presenting for the inaugural mtec09 is the shining example of her accomplishments at Sibelius-Avid. Without Katie’s tireless effort and commitment to planning and presenting, mtec09 could not possibly have been the outstanding success it has been.

I wanted to write to say how wonderful it has been having you as part of the Sibelius team.  I know that you’ve made an enormous impact on the customers and staff and your amazing knowledge and dedicated approach has been crucial to us driving our business forward in Australia.

You are truly an inspiring powerhouse of musical passion and productivity and I know that you have made a huge impression on countless students and teachers throughout the years….I will always remember the visit we made to the schools in Melbourne and the clear respect and admiration that shone through from the educators and institutions where you’ve visited and worked.

I know you’ll continue to thrive and do great things for music education.

Hello Katie,

I just want to thank you for the notes that you provided for the recent KMEIA Queensland Newsletter on using Sibelius 5 to make flash cards. I’m an older teacher who did not grow up with computers, although I love what we can do with them.

Your instructions were detailed and precise but clear enough for someone like me to follow easily. In fact they were much clearer than any of the Sibelius Instruction manuals I have seen.

Many thanks,
